Learn to Run or Grab a PB

Whether you’re just learning to run, want to tackle a 5 km, 10 km, half marathon or take on 42.195, our run clinics are designed to help you accomplish your goal! Each of them includes health elements that affect your running through an indoor learning session—from nutrition to physiotherapy—and an active training segment.

During our courses you will receive presentations regarding nutrition, stretching, running technique, and other useful topics regarding running. You’ll also get one of our famous Brainsport tech t-shirts! For all of our run academies please come prepared to run. Participants will need good running shoes and proper running clothing to address the weather of the day.

We’re hard at work developing our courses for 2019. They’ll include:

• Learn to Run – go from walking for 30 minutes to running for 30 minutes with the guidance of a coach, a professionally developed program and informative speakers.

Back by Popular Demand: The PatTrick

Starting on November 27th, coach Pat will help focus your training and drive you towards your race goals in 2019. This clinic will be on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at Brainsport. There are currently 2 ways to participate, with additional options coming in 2019.

PatTrick – 41 weeks
This clinic will run continuously, preparing you for the Brainfreeze in March, the SK Marathon in May and the Queen City Marathon in September. Signing up for the full 41 weeks is the best deal: save 25% on the clinic fees.

PatTrick – 14 weeks
Same great coach, same great training, smaller commitment. This program will run until February 26 and prepare you for the Brainfreeze in March.

Half Marathon & Full Marathon Clinic

Coach: Pat Somerville

Start Date: Monday, January 21, 2018 (clinic runs until May 20, 2019)

Time: 6:00pm    Cost: $180

Location: Brainsport (616 10th Street East, Saskatoon)

Prerequisite: This clinic is ideal for less experienced runners or those that are looking to improve their previous half/full marathon time. It is recommended you be able to run 40mins consecutively before joining this clinic.

Coach Pat will develop a training plan to help you meet your half marathon or full marathon goal. This 18 week clinic will help prepare you for the half or full marathon at the 2019 Saskatchewan Marathon on May 26. In addition to the weekly coached run, we will be offering informational sessions on topics such as: Injury Prevention, Core Stability, Running Technique, Nutrition, Yoga for Runners, and more.
